DEN forces launched a successful multi-day assault on FEL positions at Harrappa and Elam, destroying numerous FEL warships with minimal losses of their own, seizing significant ground control, and reducing a key base to rubble; hostilities ended with FEL retaining full control of Elam while DEN gained exploration and mining rights on other bodies.

FET has acquired Starbase Aglaea and is taking over the Highgrace system (claim effective Stardate 226.36.2), keeping it open to peaceful trade.

A low-profile war continues between AFT and OPS, marked by ship losses, boardings, a broken blockade, and reports of OPS deploying large pirate-style fleets.

Separately, the DNA hosted talks (and poker) with the Flagritz Republic and GTT, resulting in the DNA acquiring a starbase from the Flagritz.

***Submission from the DEN***

The DEN attack on Indus.

Star Date 226.19.1

Ships cloaked in and subvert all O/Ps
12 Direwolf - Archaic Class Warship [x8]
2 Direwolf-Canis Class Warship [x8]
6 Javelin Class Warship [x8]

Entered orbit of Harrappa and attacked 10 FEL Javelin Class Warship [x8]
1 was destroyed and 4 heavily damaged the rest light damaged.
DEN ships had very little damage

7 Broadsword Class Warship [x8] Blockade the Planet Elam.

Star Date 226.19.2

In the orbit of Harrappa fighting continued 4 FEL warships were destroyed, 2 DEN Javelin class took minimal damage 10%.
130,000 troops and 80,000 tanks dropped off.

In the Quad the 7 DEN Broadswords attacked FEL 48 Javelin Class Heavy Cruiser who had presumably come from the orbit of Elam
5 were destroyed and 2 heavily damaged, DEN broadswords took miniamal damage 2% though 3 50LH life ships were destroyed after dropping of troops and 3 150LH ships dropped cargo of tanks.

Star Date 226.19.3

40 FEL Javelin Class Heavy Cruiser from the quad joined the fight in orbit.
2 x8 Javelins were destroyed with 5 Normal Javelins, DEN ships took minimal damage

In the Quad DEN ships held and did leaving fire combat,

Star Date 226.19.4

In the orbit/Ground of Harrappa the FEL stabased fire around 1000 torps at two O/P for 2 rounds reducing them to Rubble. Inflicting about 5,000 dewiek casualties.

The Nation GP stood off and its light tanks shelled the starbase doing around 500,000 damage.

1 more FEL x8 Javelin was destroyed with 14 normal javelins. DEN losses were 1 javelin on 34% and 1 on 10% the rest minimal 2% or less.

Star Date 226.19.5

FEL ships left orbit apart from 1 normal Javelin which was destroyed.
DEN GP closed in and attacked the starbase taking just over 5% control losses were 500 troops and a 1000 tanks.

In the Quad the DEN stopped 7 Javelins and destroyed none though 1 x8 was on over 90% damage.
The rest of the ships I presumed cloaked out.

StarDate 226.20.1

Harrappa orbit now clear GP continued its attack push the FEL back, now controling over 16%

12 Direwolves left orbit and moved to the orbit of Elam, only 1 made it the rest were stopped in the quad which destroyed the remaining FEL x8 Javelin.

Orbit of Elam the 1 direwolf attacked the FEL warship Shadowfang a Lioness Fang Class Capital Ship which took 55% damage the remaining FEL ships did not fire.

StarDate 226.20.2

On the ground fighting continues and we now control 55% with the message FEL Noctopolis (92021) REDUCED TO RUBBLE!
One thing I will mention not one member of the Felini was in the base fighting it was mostly, hive, Dewiek and Human.

In the quad 6 FEL ships appeared which 4 were destroyed and 2 heavily damaged, this did stop some ships moving into the orbit of Elam.

In the orbit of Elam another Direwolf joined the combat making 2 against 17 FEL ships mostly Javelins.
FEL Shadowfang was destroyed and despite being targeted by 11 ships the direwolf suffered from the whole campaign 1.3% damage the other targeted by 7 suffered 0% damage

StarDate 226.20.3

The remaining Direwolfs entered orbit of Elam and destroyed 11 normal javelins. DEN losses minimal.

StarDate 226.20.4

The remaining 5 Javelins were destroyed in orbit.

StarDate 226.20.5

Direwolfs started bombarding the FEL claim O/P on the Planet doing around 200,000 damage.

The old FEL leaderships resigned and the new leadership contacted the Nation to end hostilities.
The Nation agreed allowing the FEL total control of Elam and the FEL agreeing to the Nation having exploration and mining rights on all other planetary bodies.

This will hopefully allow allow us to grow closer together

***Submission from the FET***

Frontier Exploration and Trade (FET) has officially acquired Starbase Aglaea (43849) in the Highgrace system of Transpiral. Control of the system is now transferring to FET, with the territorial claim scheduled to be fully established on Stardate 226.36.2.

All existing outposts and starbases within Highgrace must be registered with FET administration by Stardate 226.37.2. Once the claim is established, supporting claims must be maintained at the same operational level previously held for GRC.

FET has confirmed that Highgrace remains open to peaceful commerce. All peaceful trade vessels are welcome, and peaceful transit through the system will continue uninterrupted under the new administration.

***Submission from the OPS***

THE WAR THEY WEREN’T SUPPOSED TO NOTICE

By Velvet Quasarflare, SubSpace Static

For weeks, a conflict between the Association of Free Traders and the Obsidian Predator Swarm has been fought with remarkably little publicity.

It began with surprise OPS attacks in Traitors Gate and Agripeta, followed by the blockade of the Tramoss Wormhole. In the weeks that followed, however, the Association’s fleet—yes, apparently they have one—destroyed the blockading platform and a number of OPS offensive vessels.

Both sides have since exchanged dozens of ships through boarding actions, with OPS typically committing ships while AFT has made extensive use of specialist shuttle-borne ground parties.

Recently, however, the shooting has slowed.

AFT forces have struggled to find suitable OPS targets, apart from stubborn Swarm ground parties in Tramoss. The Association may be becoming frustrated—or perhaps desperate—to force the Swarm into further action. Reports suggest AFT forces have boarded and destroyed FRE positions in the Halo Periphery and scouted the OPS starbase in Yank.

Meanwhile, the Swarm appears to have turned its attention to the Discordia Corridor. There, according to increasingly excited reports, OPS is operating something resembling a pirate fleet: 50x8 vessels allegedly modelled on the infamous Naplian pirate ships. This has inevitably raised questions about whether the Swarm is merely borrowing an old design—or whether there may be some deeper connection between OPS and the pirates themselves.

Whether this represents a clever new strategic direction, evidence of an unexpected pirate connection, or simply an attempt to find something less well defended remains unclear.

One thing is certain: for a conflict between Free Traders and Stage One bugs, there has been remarkably little trading and an awful lot of shooting.

***In Other News***

The Displaced Naplian Alliance recently hosted a closed door conference at the Kastorian Agricultural Committee building on Mobile Bay. The main recipients were reputed to be the DNA, the Flagritz Republic, the Galactic Trade and Transport. Low level attaché from several other affiliations were noticed.

While we do not have any recordings on what happened behind the closed doors as the conference was titled "Managing the macro-economic flow of financial decisions based on random generation of third party instructions" no one actually bothered attending. What we do know is the recorded interview that was given after the conference at the DNA Buffet Breakfast at the Kastorian Hilton to us here at Fin Saine Media.

Naambta!

Interviewer: Greetings to you, Director Samantha Porteus, and to your entourage. I understand that the conference went well for the DNA?

Sam: Indeed it did, we have made much headway in our dealings with our neighbours in the GTT and the Flagritz Republic. Two of the largest groups, both many times many larger than us, but today we sat at a table and we were all equal.

Interviewer: Was it just the three of you?

Sam: Oh no, in the earlier rounds of talks there were other groups, but by the end it seemed that only the three of us remained.

Interviewer: And what was the conference actually about? The room title was just a bit ambiguous?

Sam: Well the difficulties of the Naplian people is they are spread around the peripheries. Many fall under the jurisdiction of other species and its difficult to get to some of the territories. So we set up this, invited as many people as we could and talked access.

Interviewer: And it worked?

Sam: (Laughing) Not exactly.

Interviewer: Not exactly?

Sam: Well, the problem is that no one really wants us in their territory without certain.... conditions. So we tried the diplomatic route, and when that didn't work we tried the macro-economic flow of financial decisions based on random generation of third party instructions.

Interviewer: What?

Sam: (smiling) Well, a decent buffet, large amounts of alcohol, and poker.

Interviewer: (not looking impressed) I was not aware that was the way the DNA worked.

Sam: It's how I work. And it worked. Kind of..... oh my, you'll enjoy this!

Offscreen: (Flagritz accent) Porteus! Where are you? Someone closed the buffet! Aaaah, there you are!

Sam: May I introduce to you my esteemed friend and technical Landlord, uh Lord M'aud Dib of the most fearsome Fessin Caste.

Several Flagritz appear on the screen, three guards with weapon harnesses in the traditional spikes and colours of the Fessin Caste Guardians. Their tentacles, each holding what could equally be called weaponry and gothic cutlery, waved around while they glared. And then the Lord M'aud Dib appeared, resplendent in a gem encrusted harness, solid platinum spikes and a cloak that shimmered in the lights. He had empty tentacles, but towered over the flagritz.

M'aud Dib: Porteus, am I interrupting?

Sam: Of course not, honoured guest and cherished friend!

Interviewer: Lord M'aud Dib, can I ask how the conference went?

M'aud Dib: Yes you can. No I won't talk about it though I will offer advice that even my esteemed member of the GTT will agree with, never play poker with that human (tentacle pointing at Sam).

Sam: I did warn you not to bid more than you could afford!

M'aud Dib: Pah! Pathetic human, I can buy your entire group and still have money left from the gems in my guards pockets.

Sam: And yet I now own your Pegasus holdings. With the blessing of the erstwhile Fox.

M'aud Dib: And I will find out how you cheated! If we were less civilised you would be sent to the gulags and worked to death. But we don't do that anymore, it was too inefficient. How did you win?

Sam: Your third tentacle curls when you bluff.

M'aud Dib: (reaching two tentacles for empty holsters then laughing) You are good to have around, Sam of the Porteus. I will stand by our deal. You won, you gain my holdings in Pegasus.

Interviewer: Can you elaborate on this? I mean, what are you talking about?

Sam: The Flagritz Republic has agreed to give....

M'aud Dib: Sell!

Sam: Sell the Displaced Naplian Alliance a starbase.

Interviewer: How in the nine moons can you afford that?

Sam: (Smiling) Aliens stand together for the greater good. And four kings.

M'aud Dib: We will flay you alive and drape your..... uh.... we believe that the Displaced Naplian Alliance and the diplomacy of the Samantha of the Porteus has shown that we are wise to let your species live! That and the Naplians actually do a really good breakfast buffet.

Interviewer: Cut to advertisment, I'm out of here!
